    Hi Ashly,

This is a pretty big project. Therefore, you will need to put more effort into your planning, for it to be a successful effort, one that meets or exceeds the standards of Project Icarus.

First off, what kind of restaurant do you hope to own? why?
Do you know what it would take to own a restaurant?
Some of the research questions would differ, depending on whether your focus is owning the place or managing or being the chef. There are different skills, and, yes, different passions involved in these, so I think you need to decide.

Once you are clear on your actual passion, then you can figure out your research questions and your resources. A "mom and pop" type restaurant where the owner is also the chef is different from a bigger restaurant, where the executive chef plans and coordinates the kitchen and the manager handles the business end of it.

Your questions about what types of food people like and how to appeal to the public can't really be answered unless you have the other parts already thought out.

So, I would advise you to do lots more thinking and then to revise your plans and make them more detailed and specific. You will need to do that to complete this project successfully.

    good luck!

Okay...there's been some revision on your planning...at this late date I would advise you to get your research draft completed and posted...

Effort and attitude are, like writing, a matter of "show, not tell." The way to prove that you are truly motivated now is actions, not words.
